Jax and Dad posing at the store
One of our latest projects has been to create an "ABC" book for Jax using pictures of various grocery items. Last week we went to the grocery store to take the pictures. It started out great, "A" is for Avocado, "B" is for Banana, "C" is for Carrot...but we were stumped by the time we got to "Q." Chad had the bright idea that we should take a picture of 'Quick', you know, the chocolate milk mix. But when we got over there, we saw that it is actually called Nesquick. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that product called 'Quick' when we I was a kid? When did it change to 'Nesquick,' and if it has changed, why would they do that to such a beloved American product? We just decided to take a picture of the Nesquick because we couldn't think of another grocery product that started with a "Q." Does anyone out there have any great ideas? I have this fear that Jax is always going to go around writing his "Q's" as "N's."

Its always been nesquick! You could use quinoa- you might have to go to pilgrims for the picture though.
I haven't done any actual research here, but I THINK (always a dangerous thing for those within a few yards of me) that the chocolate powder you stir into milk is labeled 'Nestle's Quik' (notice the missing 'c' in the spelling).
I checked the pantry, but, unfortunately we don't have a can of the powdered chocolate for me to verify my theory, but that's why we have grocery stores - to check these important things out.
By the way, if you happen to have an authentic French country store there in Coeur d' Alane, you could probably photograph some quail eggs for Jaxon's book...or not!
Love you guys!

You could also use a 'Quince', it is a fruit related to the apple and pear family that is thought to be the forbidden fruit that was actually consummed by Adam and Eve (Thanks Jeopardy!)
Well, then there is always quiche, quesadilla, and our personal favorite quahog. But those are just a few.
Quakers oats.
They might have a quiche in the frozen section.
Don't know if you did only foods, but you could do Q-tips...
I googled it & found the good ole fashioned QUIK cans---you could just google it & print the picture of that can instead of taking your own pic!?
See if this link works...
